I am encouraged by reading the posts that so many have shared about waking in the middle of the night. THIS has been happening to me over my life but VERY consistently over the last 2 1/2 weeks. Thank you all for sharing your honest lives so that ppl like me can perhaps glean into GOD in a deeper way.
Afterall, as a stay-at-home mom and Pastor’swife, I barely get any time to really be alone and truly LISTEN to God. And HE already knows my desire to ‘know HIM more’ including being able to recognize HIS specific leading for my life & family.

I have also been awakened at 3 am in the morning. It is out of a deep sleep or REM level with vivid dreams. I have not had any clue as to why I always awaken at 3 am. It is not very often either. Is this the Lord? I have lived one day at a time since my divorce in 03. God has led me to other settings and people outside my comfort zone. I have lived through Hurricane Katrina with these people. I continue to strife to make a difference in this area even though I still grieve for the lost of my marriage. I have always prayed for the Lord to use me to His best use if my path had to change.

thank GOD for calling on me in the early morning , he has given me great
advice in the scriptures he lead me to read and the poems he use me to write
for GOD is still alive and we should listen. i will give him my full attention in those early calling. GOD BLESS TO ALL

Judi-I am sitting in the back seat myself right now also. I need another job and I am waiting for God to show me what is next for me. An old professor of mine recommended this site to me and I love all the daily sayings. They are all very thought provoking and powerful messages. I guess I’m lucky. God knows 3 am would be useless with me….I’m just no good until I get that second cup of coffee. We spend a lot of quiet time together. I have learned to “Let Go and Let God” and I try not to grab the steering wheel, but just set in the back seat and let him do the driving. Now he is preparing me for something, and although I don’t yet know what it is, I’m doing my homework and waiting for God….

Laborers together with God………What has he laid on our hearts to do…. And are we doing it. So many voices , but as Elmer says, the still small voice.. It is there we find our great rewards. The rewards of the heart. “Not unto us oh Lord, Not unto us, but unto thy name be all glory and honor and praise.” What an honor to work together with God.

i come up with the most amazing ideas to help others when i’m trying to sleep,never thought it was GOD, but i do write my thoughts down immediately,i’m amazed at my notes in the morning,just wish i could stay motivated to follow through!!
